Civil War: The Initiative Review - Possible Spoilers

Well, now we’re onto the POST Civil War. Tony Starke is the King of all Superheros, and is trying to maintain/neutralize “Rougue” vigilantes, at least vigilantes by the Registration Act standards.

In this issue, deals are being made with former bad guys to rehabilitate and/or given opportunites to redeem themselves by joining PRO-Registration faction.

Others are evil to the core to begin with, so the Pro-Registration faction have them on a VERY short leash, such people that are members of The Thunderbolts. Some of these evil guys, turned good, only by having the metaphorical “gun to their head” by Pro-Registration Factions, are itchin’ to kill some of these guys they have a vandetta against, if given the opportunity.

My theory about these “Bad guys forced to be good guys, but are still “bad guys” anyways, got me thinkin’ that something COULD happen if the “short leash” that the Pro Reg. Faction were to break or come loose. I’m waiting on an issue that demonstrates such a catastrophe, this could be a great excuse to take action against rogue “Good guys” that treated the “bad guys” like crap, at least, like crap by the “Bad guys” standards.

Also, NEW groups are formed, which lead off into new and upcoming comic series. Series like “Omega Flight” with “The Cap’s” new look, a disturbing looking “Thor-type” characters, and of course the next group “The Thunderbolts” Man Venon is gruesome looking these days!

There’s Jessica Drew, a possible love interest of Tony Starke’s, seems there’s some feelings for this woman by Iron Man, and of course, with love, there’s hate, he considers her a serious traitor, but I think his feelings for her left him feeling dissappointed in the woman he has feelings for, I know my emotions would increase 2-fold if someone I cared for, took the opposing side. I love Jessic Drew, I have a serious thing for curvy brunettes (jet-black haired women).

The world still needs The Avengers, that’s for sure.

The last half of this comic ends with previews of more post-Civil War related comics, INCLUDING the apparent death of Capt. America! I tried going to the comic store today to get that issue, it was SOLD OUT within hours, mainly because everyone bought into “the hype” of this issue, simply because it was advertised on CNN.

Over all a pretty good lead-in to the Post-Civil War theme.

Anyhow, that’s all for now, see you until the next “Evil_T0NY’s Comic Review!”
